( BPRW) NFL Teams making roster changes prior to training camp

( BLACK PR WIRE) ( August 19, 2008) It is now that time of the year where NFL teams are beginning training camp, negotiating contracts, interviewing with the media and trading high-profile athletes for future draft picks. Just recently, the Miami Dolphins traded their pro-bowl tackle of 11 yearsJason Taylor to the Washington Redskins for a second-round draft pick in 2009 and sixth-round draft pick in 2010.
Besides the Dolphins and Redskins making trades, The New York Giants traded their pro-bowl tight end Jeremy Shockey to the Saints, also for future draft picks. These are two similar trades that have become the talk of training camp.

Training camp is a time during the year where professional teams begin to play scrimmage games, run drills, discuss plays, work-out newly drafted players and sign some autographs.
Coaches use training camp to speak with new players and observe older players prior to creating the roster. Aside from helping the rookies get acquainted with the team and its staff, players also use camp to spend time with family. Others use it to recover from surgery or season injuries.
In recent years, I have discovered that professional teams look to training camp as a chance to not just practice, but to discuss winning a Super Bowl ring. This is a topic that every coach will mention to his team because it is the one common goal that players are willing to make sacrifices for - whether it be reduction in playing time or decrease in salary.

All Coaches before training camp are faced with dividing time with their families and players. This is another way of sacrificing what you cherish (family) to accomplish what you dream about (winning championship).

Sacrifices are made to bring unity amongst players and coaches in order to concentrate on the ultimate goalwinning a Super Bowl ring. This also shows a level of maturity on the part of the team because they begin to realize that every player has a role and is a piece to the puzzle. In terms of making sacrifices, each player will see that the more you’re willing to give, the better the team will be. Training camps are the starting point to sacrifices, team work, family fellowship and ultimately the road to a winning season.
