Brand to Engage African American Families July 3""5 at Premiere Music & Cultural Festival

(Black PR Wire) -- NEW YORK, NY (June 29, 2015)—Colgate®, one of the most trusted brands in oral care, will be creating brilliant, healthy smiles on-site at the upcoming 2015 ESSENCE Festival in New Orleans through a series of engaging and educational events. This highly anticipated celebration, produced by the number-one media company dedicated to African American women, will be held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, July 3–5.

During the festival, Colgate will connect with more than 500,000 consumers through unique, live experiences about the importance of health and wellness. The schedule includes:

July3–5: “A Colgate Total Conversation” will be an interactive, thirty-minute discussion featuring a panel of experts covering health and wellness themes that are important in the African American community, ranging from oral care to fitness. The most important takeaway will be the link between oral health and overall health. Panelists include fitness guru Shaun T, celebrity fitness trainer Mark Jenkins, oral care expert Dr. Catrise Austin and reality TV star Tanya Winfield, from NBC’s Biggest Loser.

July 3–5: Throughout the festival, consumers will be encouraged to visit the Colgate exhibition booth, where they will have the opportunity to engage one-on-one with our experts and upload personal photos from our red carpet social media kiosk. Complete with high-fashion accessories, visitors will be able to share their bright, healthy smiles on-site by using the hashtag #brillantsmile.

• Sunday, July 5: “Style Sunday with Tai Beauchamp” — an exclusive meet and greet.Join inspirational style expert Tai Beauchamp, of TLC’s Dare to Wear, on the #BrilliantSmile red carpet as she offers beauty and style tips, including ways to ensurethat “your smile is your best accessory.”
