Celebration takes place August 10th at 10 a.m.

(Black PR Wire) The Jessie Trice Community Health Center has opened the Opa-Locka Children’s Wellness Center. The official ribbon cutting celebration takes place on Wednesday, August 10th beginning at 10 a.m. The new Opa-Locka Children’s Wellness Center is a state-of-the-art facility located at 490 Opa-Locka Boulevard, Suite 100.

Health and wellness means everything to the Jessie Trice Community Health Center (JTCHC). They are truly committed to ensuring that everyone – from children to adults – lives healthy and wholesome lives.

“We are so excited about opening the Opa-Locka Children’s Wellness Center,” said Annie Neasman, president/CEO. “WE KNOW how to care for teens and tiny tots and want to make sure that they are healthy and well.”

Over 5,000 square feet, the Center includes exam rooms, key offices (nurse, providers, counseling), a lab, conference room, multipurpose room with demo kitchen, and a pantry room, among others.

The Jessie Trice Community Health Center, Inc. is a Florida 501(c)3, not-for-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center, which has been serving Miami-Dade County since 1967. A community mainstay, JTCHC owns and/or operates fifty-five (55) facilities, which includes nine (9) Comprehensive Primary Care centers, including a women’s substance use residential program, forty (40) school-based locations and two (2) university centers. JTCHC’s multicultural, multilingual, and multidisciplinary staff serves a diverse population of over 39,575 patients who make more than 126,000 visits annually.
