(Black PR Wire) Hispanic Heritage Month, observed September 15 to October 15, is a vibrant celebration of the histories, cultures and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities across the United States.
The celebration also offers an important opportunity to recognize the diversity within these communities. Latino identity spans many countries, cultures and racial backgrounds, including Afro-Latinos whose stories reflect the powerful connection between African and Latin American heritage.
Hispanic and Latino culture have helped shape the music, dance, food, art and traditions celebrated throughout Latin America, the Caribbean and the United States. Cultural icons such as the late Cuban singer Celia Cruz brought these influences to audiences around the world, opened doors for future generations and proudly represented her Black and Latina identities.
Across industries and communities, Hispanic and Latino leaders continue to make an impact as entrepreneurs, artists, educators, scientists, athletes, advocates and public servants.
As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we honor the many identities within the Latino community, amplify stories that have too often been overlooked and recognize the cultural pride, creativity and resilience that continue to enrich our shared history.
¡Feliz Mes de la Herencia Hispana!
