(BPRW) Kawanna Brown Honored With 2009 Lexus Pursuit of Perfection Award at the Lexus Listening Lounge Event on Wednesday, February 4th, 2009

(BLACK PR WIRR) (February 4, 2009) LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Lexus, America's top-selling luxury automaker, named Kawanna Brown, chief operating officer of Magic Johnson Enterprises, as this year's recipient of the Lexus Pursuit of Perfection Award for her outstanding contributions to the minority community. The Award will be presented to Ms. Brown at the Lexus Listening Lounge event on Wednesday, February 4th, 2009, at Los Angeles' green urban oasis, Smog Shoppe.

Ms. Brown is the second recipient of the prestigious Lexus Pursuit of Perfection Award, dedicated to recognizing African-American women whose work exemplifies extraordinary achievements in the fields of business and entertainment. Last year's recipient, Ms. Cathy Hughes, Founder and COO of Radio One, was honored for her leadership in creating one of the premier radio and television networks dedicated to serving the African-American community, as well as her tireless commitment to philanthropy.

We are committed to continuing to honor African-American women who have made outstanding contributions to their communities, said Dave Nordstrom, Lexus vice president of marketing. It is our pleasure to honor Kawanna because she is a tremendous role model and has truly made a difference.
Kawanna is a true example of leadership, hard work and dedication, said Earvin Magic Johnson, chairman and chief executive officer of Magic Johnson Enterprises. She is well deserving of this award, and I am honored to have her leading my team.

It's an honor and a privilege to be recognized by Lexus, added Kawanna Brown. This award recognizes not only me, but the thousands of individuals we touch every day in the communities we serve across the country.
