(BLACK PR WIRE)--What: The Broward County African American Research Library and Cultural Center and WPBT2 will host a free screening of Black in Latin America on Saturday, April 16. Black in Latin America is a four part series airing on WPBT2 beginning April 19. The series, directed by Henry Louis Gates, Jr., examines how Africa and Europe came together to create the rich cultures of Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Brazil, Mexico and Peru. The free screening will showcase the Haiti and the Dominican Republic episode as well as the Cuba episode. A panel discussion with local experts will follow each episode screening.

When: On Saturday, April 16, the Haiti and the Dominican Republic episode will begin at 11:00am followed by a panel discussion. The Cuba episode will begin at 1:00pm followed by a panel discussion.
