(BLACK PR WIRE)--MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cassandra Caldwell, PhD, a faculty member with the School of Public Service Leadership at Capella University (http://www.capella.edu), an accredited online university* that has built its reputation by providing high quality online degree programs for working adults, has founded a new society for diversity and inclusion professionals. The International Society of Diversity and Inclusion Professionals (ISDIP) officially formed on April 29, 2011, and already has nearly 75 members.
According to Dr. Caldwell, the ISDIP is for any person who has diversity and inclusion as part of his or her job description, regardless of the industry. The ISDIP views diversity and inclusion through a comprehensive lens that includes four strategic pillars: organizational development, supplier diversity, workforce diversity, and community engagement.
“In my research, I could not find any global comprehensive professional association for diversity and inclusion and professionals, but the need for such a society was clearly there,” Caldwell said.
