(BPRW) Winds Of Change Economic Leadership Conference Takes Place February 18

- Free event features Archbishop Thabo Makgoba and Members of the Royal Bafokeng Holdings Company, and Others -

(BLACK PR WIRE)--People Helping Each Other (PHEO), African Business Development Group, Inc., and their partners are collaborating with The Most Rev. Thabo Makgoba, Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town and Metropolitan of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa, to create the Winds of Change Economic Leadership Conference for Indigenous Africans and the Diaspora. The Conference takes place on Saturday, February 18, 2012, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Worldwide Christian Center, located at 450 North Powerline Road in Pompano Beach, Florida. The Conference is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required.

Key presenters from across the globe will be among the stellar leadership line-up at the Conference. They include representatives from the Royal Bafokeng Holdings Company, the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), The World Bank, The State Department (invited) and the African Business Development Group (ABDG). The Conference Moderator is Robert Beatty, Esq., publisher and chairman of The South Florida Times.

“We are very excited about the Economic Conference,” says Julius V. Jackson, Sr., president of People Helping Each Other (PHEO). “This event launches our strategic outreach for a community-wide campaign among businesses and community organizations to generate interest and awareness as to how indigenous Africans and the Diaspora can plan and implement economic development plans and strategies for the benefit of both.”

The Conference will provide an in-depth and personal overview of the Archbishop’s Economic Development Initiative for Indigenous Africans, the Diaspora and Friends. Participants will take part in an engaging dialogue with key panelists joined together to discuss how Indigenous Africans and the Diaspora can collaborate on economic opportunities both in the USA and Africa and learn what tools are readily available to the Diaspora in the USA. Additionally, the Archbishop’s initiative puts many of the assets of the wealthiest continent on earth, within reach of the African Diaspora after more than 400 years of watching from a distance.

Other key initiatives during the Winds of Change Economic Conference include a panel discussion on the Business Model in Action. During this panel, high ranking business leaders will speak on a current model merger initiative. Corporate executives including Barbara Rios of Rios Concrete; Rhodes Robinson of Environmental Services, Black business executive, Reggie Fowler, one of the owners of the Minnesota Vikings, and others, will provide candid examples on what attracted them to expand into Africa through the Archbishop’s initiative.

In addition, there will be a special message and video presentation from The Most Rev. Thabo Makgoba, Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town and Metropolitan of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa.
