(BPRW) Alfred Street Baptist Church Buys Out Eight Showings of Wakanda Forever for a Members Only Red Carpet Private Viewing on Friday, November 11 from 6pm -7pm at IPIC North Bethesda Theatre

(Black PR Wire) Alexandria, VA – In an extraordinary demonstration of support for Black culture, the Alfred Street Baptist Church (ASBC) acquired all Eight (8) Theaters equaling the purchase of 784 seats at the IPIC Theater in North Bethesda for a member-only private viewing of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever on November 11 from 6pm – 7pm. The seats sold out on the first day they were offered to members.

In a recorded ASBC “Faith and Film” event, the Rev. Dr. Judy Fentress-Williams interviewed ASBC member Jesse Holland, Jr., author of Black Panther: Who is the Black Panther? who provided members with a history of Black Panther and taste of what they might expect in this highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 film Black Panther.

“Black Panther is art opening doors to help people imagine themselves in new ways,” said Fentress-Williams.

“We are proud to support this film in honor of the late Chadwick Boseman, who himself is and was a superhero to Black culture,” said Rev. Dr. Howard-John Wesley, ASBC senior pastor.
