(Black PR Wire) The Carrie Meek Foundation is committed to improving the quality of life of residents of its local community. In keeping with this mission, the organization recently hosted the first of its series of community informational meetings.
Topics discussed during the session included the development of the Carrie Meek International Business Park which is currently under construction at the Miami Opa-Locka Airport. The business park is the future home to an Amazon Fulfillment Center. In addition, leadership from the Carrie Meek Foundation spoke about the organization’s work force development program which will focus on helping residents develop skills in job searching and prepare them with necessary training needed to get, keep and excel at a new profession.
The Foundation’s second community informational meeting takes place on Monday, January 29 at 6:00 p.m. at Sherbondy Village Community in Opa-Locka.
