(BPRW) THE CITY OF NORTH MIAMI PARTNERS WITH FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD FOR BLACK HISTORY MONTH EDUCATIONAL COMPONENT MARCH FOR EDUCATION
(Black PR Wire) NORTH MIAMI, Fl. — The City of North Miami and Foundation of the World host March for Education on Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020, from 8 a.m. to Noon at MOCA Plaza located at 770 NE 125th Street, North Miami, FL 33161. “We are elated to partner with the City of North Miami,” said Foundation of the World founder Farrel Liger. “To present an opportunity to celebrate our teachers and provide information on educational resources available throughout Miami-Dade County is an initiative that The Foundation of the World champions each year.” The event keynote speaker will be Dr. Steve Gallon III, the Vice-Chair and elected District 1 School Board Member for the Miami-Dade County Public Schools. “The message of the March for Education is clear: children, families, teachers and communities benefit from increased educational resources and opportunities in education. We are looking forward to the many people who will join together in the City of North Miami for such an important cause,” said Gallon.
The goal of the March for Education is to raise educational awareness and celebrate teachers for their outstanding commitment to our youth. The event is free and open to the public. The march will be a day filled with activities including: an education resource fair, DJ, photo booth, bounce houses, face painting, drumline competitions and more. Teachers, students, parents and supporters are invited to march for educational resources throughout Miami-Dade County. Not only does the March for Education aim to raise awareness and celebrate education, but the event will also provide information regarding educational and resource programs in the community.
