(BPRW) Voices of Jamaica set for February 24th – Focusing on Culture and Business

(Black PR Wire) In honor of Black History  Month, the Jamaica USA Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 14th Annual Voices of Jamaica in collaboration with various U.S. Department of Commerce programs operated by M. Gill & Associates.  The celebration is scheduled for Friday, February 24, at 6 p.m. at Holy Family Episcopal Church located at 18501 NW 7th Ave, Miami Gardens, FL 33169.  This year’s theme is Blacks in the Black - Business & Culture.

“During this month, we acknowledge and honor the achievements of those who came before us,” said chamber president, Marie Gill.  “Black History Month is a time when we celebrate all descendants of Africa, while showcasing Jamaica’s contribution to Black History—and that is precisely what Voices of Jamaica is all about.”  According to the nonprofit Migration Policy Institute, some  336,000 members of the Jamaican Diaspora reside  in Florida, with most of them concentrated in South Florida.

“We are excited to bring the community together for this celebration, and we encourage everyone to join us and enjoy the cultural performances and business networking opportunities,” said Ms. Gill.

Voices of Jamaica is sponsored by various Jamaicans and is presented free to the public.  Attendees will enjoy an evening filled with music, cultural performances, Jamaican trivia, and business-to-business networking.  Those who wish to attend can reserve their spot at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/voices-of-jamaica-blacks-in-the-black-business-culture-2023-tickets-528391813137.
