On Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, the stage at Inner-City Arts (720 Kohler Street, Los Angeles, CA 90021) will come alive with Brain Freeze, a powerful student production that reflects the brilliance, imagination, and promise of the next generation.
“This moment reflects our legacy in action—where we intentionally invest in the voices, vision, and future of our young people through the arts,” said Chapter President La-Doris McClaney.
“This showcase is more than a performance—it’s a celebration of the brilliance and potential within our youth,” added Lisa Jackson, Programming Chair of the Califa Arts Chapter.
Set within one of Los Angeles’ premier arts education organizations, this unforgettable afternoon will highlight the extraordinary talent of students from Inner-City Arts’ renowned Work of Art Program. Known for cultivating creativity, confidence, and collaboration, Inner-City Arts empowers young people through meaningful artistic engagement—brought vividly to life on stage through this compelling showcase.
Hosted by the Califa Arts Chapter, the reception will welcome guests into a thoughtfully curated experience, followed by the featured theatrical showcase presented in collaboration with Inner-City Arts. Through powerful storytelling and expressive artistry, the event will uplift, inspire, and leave a lasting impression—reminding us of the transformative power of the arts.
This special event invites the community to gather in celebration and support of youth in the arts while enjoying an afternoon filled with creativity, connection, and purpose. Proceeds from the event will benefit Inner-City Arts, advancing its mission to provide transformative arts education to young people across Los Angeles.
