(BPRW)The FrontPage teams with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit for the Project NEXT Bash!

( BLACK PR WIRE)Detroit- (February 23, 2009) The Michigan FrontPage has joined forces with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit as a community leader and partner for the Project NEXT Bash! As we continue in our efforts to empower young minds, the FrontPage has launched the 1st Annual Project NEXT Bash, in conjunction with the Project NEXT initiative, to help propel high school and middle school students toward academic excellence.

“Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit (BBBSMD) exists to strengthen children in need through one-on-one relationships with volunteer mentors. We positively transform the lives of at-risk youth through this process with proven results. Therefore BBBSMD is aligned with the Michigan FrontPage in our efforts to help motivate youth to perform at the highest level and to reward their efforts. BBBSMD is pleased and honored to be a community leader and partner of Project Next,” says Dara Munson, president and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit.

The Project NEXT Bash is a major concert event that will take place on April 10th, 2009 at the Palace of Auburn Hills to reward students who maintain a 3.0 grade point average or higher. Additionally, 450 students will be selected to receive a pair of free tickets to a Pistons’ game immediately following the concert! With a current attendance of over 18,000 students and parents registered, this initiative will serve to reward students who maintain honor roll status while motivating and encouraging those who fall outside of these parameters to focus and try harder.

Artists such as JiG (courtesy of Live TMG), Vina Mills (courtesy of Live TMG), Roc Stea’D (courtesy of Live TMG), Princeton (courtesy of Star Factory), Dollar Jones and Chris Newland have dedicated themselves to this movement by participating in an extensive high school and middle school musical tour that will introduce the program to the students in an exciting way while giving them a preview of what they can look forward to at the end of the year concert event.

Sponsorship and vendor opportunities are still available.
