(BPRW) ASRC Aerospace Employee John Morton Receives National Professional Achievement Award

(BLACK PR WIRE)--GREENBELT, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ASRC Aerospace employee John Morton has been selected as one of America’s top professionals by U.S. Black Engineer and Technology magazine. Morton will receive the 2011 Emerald Honors Award for Professional Achievement during ceremonies Feb. 17 at the Black Engineer of the Year Awards annual conference in Washington, D.C. BEYA recognizes the achievements of diverse leaders and rewards excellence in science, technology, engineering and math.

Morton is the ASRC Aerospace program manager on the NASA Glenn Engineering and Scientific Services contract at Glenn Research Center in Cleveland. He has spent 45 years in government and industry, with 35 years’ experience in engineering, project management and strategic customer relationship management.

Morton holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Lane College, a master’s degree in mathematics from Howard University, and a law degree from Georgetown University.
