(BPRW) The Koinonia Worship Center Men's Ministry And Partners To Present Community Response Conference For Young Men April 11-12

(BLACK PR WIRE) – PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – The Koinonia Worship Center Men’s Ministry and Community Development Corporations will present their second annual Community Response Conference, providing motivation and inspiration to young men facing everyday challenges. The conference will be held April 11-12, 2012, at Koinonia Worship Center: 4900 W. Hallandale Beach Boulevard in Pembroke Park. The conference’s first session will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11th, followed by a second session at 1 p.m. with keynote speaker Judge Elijah Williams. The event will continue Thursday, April 12th, at 7:30 p.m. with guest speaker, Dr. Robert C. Stanley. This year’s theme is “Working Together to Develop Youth Into the Next Generation of Leaders.”

“We enthusiastically invite the community to join us for this incredible conference,” said Mathes Guice, director of the Men’s Ministry. “Good things are happening in Florida’s neighborhoods; this conference will allow organizations to share their efforts and strengthen partnerships.”

The goal of the conference is to create an opportunity for local community service and faith-based organizations to meet with key stakeholders that are critical to the pro-social development of Florida’s children. These community organizations seek to identify available resources; prevent duplication of effortS; serve children most in need of guidance before formal involvement with law enforcement, dependency and/or delinquency systems; secure funding to enhance services; and support public agencies as they collectively protect, educate, and intervene in the lives of at-risk youth.

The first session on the April 11 will provide principals from participating schools, along with a student representative, with a forum to speak directly to the leaders who so often make critical decisions that impact their lives. These children will share their goals, experiences, needs and challenges, hopefully inspiring our leaders to continue their work serving Florida’s children. Following the first session, at 1 p.m., there will be a discussion on the ministry’s collective network of services, consolidation of efforts and strategies to obtain needed resources.

The following day, Thursday, April 12th, the conference will feature guest speaker Dr. Robert C. Stanley. Dr. Stanley is a dynamic pastor, teacher, evangelist and leader who proclaims the word of God with clarity, and possesses a gift for ministering to the needs of God’s people. His anointing is evident in the work he has accomplished at the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church, a beacon for the Pompano Beach community.

The Koinonia Worship Center is a full-service worship center which is situated on ten acres of land in Pembroke Park, Florida. It is administered and staffed by Christian ministers and Christian counselors. The Men’s Ministry was established to give men the opportunity to achieve social and economic liberation, individual, family and community revitalization, spiritual salvation and enlightenment. The five operational components (economic, social, health, education and spirituality) are designed to address the psycho-social spiritual conditions of the African-American community utilizing corrective technique models.
