(BPRW) Coors Light Kicks off College Football Season with "Experience a Classic Sweepstakes"

(BLACK PR WIRE)--CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Coors Light kicks off the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Football Classic season, with the Super Cold Drumline and the “Experience a Classic Sweepstakes.” Football fans ages 21 and older can enter daily at drumline.coorslight.com for a chance to win an all-access, VIP fly away trip to a Coors Light-sponsored HBCU Football Classic game. 

“Coors Light, The World’s Most Refreshing Beer, and football are American classics,” says Mwanza Lumumba, Brand Manager, Coors Light African American marketing. “We hope Coors Light fans join us in celebrating and honoring HBCU’s rich history and legacy in preparing the next generation of leaders by signing up to win,” continues Lumumba. 

Grand prize trips include airfare and hotel accommodations for two, prime game seating, VIP access to a Coors Light Tailgate party, featuring a special appearance with a celebrity HBCU Legend. 

This year marks Coors Light’s 26th year of supporting the HBCU football classics. In addition to sponsorship, Coors Light has designated $130,000 in HBCU scholarships, and has historically contributed more than quarter of million dollars to the MillerCoors Scholars program that benefits select juniors and seniors who are 21+ attending HBCUs. 

Coors Light, through its partnership with 1-800 TAXI-CAB, will provide cab vouchers at all tailgate parties, encouraging legal age guests to plan ahead for a safe ride home. The Classic schedule is as follows:

• Atlanta Football Classic- September 29th (Coors Light tailgate event 11:00 a.m.)

• Circle City Football Classic- October 6th (Coors Light tailgate event 10:00 a.m.)
• Magic City Classic- October 27th (Coors Light tailgate event 11:00 a.m.)
• Florida Classic- November 17th (Coors Light tailgate event 9:00 a.m.)
• Urban League Classic- November 17th
• Bayou Classic- November 24th (Coors Light tailgate event 12:30 p.m.)
