(BPRW) Savoy Magazine Recognizes Cigna Leaders Nicole Jones, Rosanna Durruthy

(BLACK PR WIRE) – BLOOMFIELD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Savoy Magazine has named two Cigna leaders to its list of the 2012 Top Influential Women in Corporate America. Nicole Jones, executive vice president and general counsel, and Rosanna Durruthy, chief diversity officer, made the prestigious list and are featured in the magazine’s current issue.

Savoy Magazine celebrates the achievements, culture and style of the African American and urban community.

“Congratulations to Nicole and Rosanna for being recognized for their strong contributions to Cigna. The recognition is a reflection of Cigna's diverse and dynamic executive leadership,” said John Murabito, executive vice president of Cigna Human Resources and Services.

While serving as Cigna's general counsel, Jones has helped to guide the company through U.S. health care reform. She also has supported the local community as a visible leader for Cigna employees in the Jim Calhoun Cancer Challenge Ride and Walk near Cigna's Connecticut headquarters. In addition to her leadership role at Cigna, Jones served as senior vice president and general counsel for Lincoln Financial and held increasingly responsible leadership roles in corporate law departments at Johnson & Johnson, MCI, Inc. and International Paper Company. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University and earned her Juris Doctor degree from New York University.

Durruthy leads diversity and inclusion at Cigna in support of the company’s mission to help customers improve their health, well-being and sense of security. Durruthy frames diversity to drive talent engagement, business growth, customer satisfaction and cross-cultural capabilities for all Cigna employees. Prior to joining Cigna, Durruthy led an organizational consulting practice designed to empower emerging leaders. She has held human resource leadership roles in diversity recruiting, staffing, and leadership development as well as Human Resource technology positions in financial services and media entertainment companies. Durruthy attended Harvard College and in 2002, was named one of the country’s leading Hispanic women by both Hispanic and Hispanic Business magazines.
