The ticketed event on April 4 was held at the Double Tree Hotel Ballroom. The awards ceremony was sponsored by Miami-Dade County League of Cities. Forbes received the Robert B. Ingram Diversity Award, presented annually to an individual who embodies the multiethnic diversity for which Dade County is the mosaic. Robert B. Ingram was a mayor, police chief and school board member who embraced diversity and made it his core value.
