(Black PR Wire) New York, New York – Sebastian Giscard Pierre is once again making headlines for his talent. At just 17 years old, Sebastian has made strides in the world of music that many adults only dream of. Playing at Carnegie Hall earlier this year, he is the product of Haitian immigrant parents, whose perseverance, work ethic and determination continue to open outstanding doors for him.
Sebastian worked persistently to once again come away with honors at Crescendo International Music competition on November 22, 2015 and has been invited back to perform on Valentine’s Day in 2016.
“We are thrilled to see how Sebastian’s dedication and hard work are paying off. He is enjoying himself while doing something he loves, what more can a parent ask for?” his father, Dr. Phedy Pierre explains.
On that faithful day in November, something that is rarely done in the Crescendo International Competition was achieved, both Sebastian and his sister Sabrina A. Pierre received first and second place credits for their musical prowess. Sabrina won Second Place for the Flute, and Sebastian took home First Place for the Piano. The February 14, 2016 winners concert will be even more exciting for the Pierre’s as they will both take the stage at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall to play for music lovers from all around the world.
Sebastian’s passion for music began at the tender age of three and coming from a musical family, it is no surprise that his sister has also become a winner. “Music is a very integral part of our family life, from my father, sister, uncle and two cousins, we all share a connection that surpasses everything else,” says Sebastian.
Sebastian’s second consecutive first place honors at the Crescendo International Music competition has kept him grounded and his ultimate goal is still to become a medical doctor. One thing is certain though, his gift will continue to help him soar no matter what direction he chooses.
