(BPRW) Florida Memorial University and National Black MBA Association® Forge Landmark Partnership

FMU School of Business Students Slated To Offer Gateway To Impressive Career Opportunities

(Black PR Wire) Miami, FL, March 31, 2016 - Florida Memorial University (FMU) and the National Black MBA Association® (NBMBAA) entered into a groundbreaking agreement that will develop and strengthen career pathways for undergraduate and graduate business students. The partnership also aims to enhance the quality of the educational experiences, internship placements and job opportunities for deserving students enrolled at FMU.

This innovative collaboration, launched following Access to the Dream: Celebrating the Past: Preparing for the Future, panel discussion hosted by both FMU and NBMBAA. Students learned valuable tips and takeaways to help guide their transition from school to work as entrepreneurs and global leaders. FMU alumni also shared their career success secrets on how they have excelled in their respective fields.

“The discussion around ‘Access to the Dream’ is an important discussion topic for all college campuses; we were excited to bring this conversation to our valued partner, Florida Memorial University,” said Jesse Tyson, President and CEO, National Black MBA Association. “We discussed the importance of job preparedness, networking, and a myriad of other topics that will help close the achievement gap for African American students in the business world.”

The partnership will allow for FMU students to apply for NBMBAA scholarships, that will be matched by FMU students will also have access to NBMBAA internships opportunities and their annual conference.

Florida Memorial is South Florida’s only HBC, with an accredited part time one year MBA program gaining thefull range of Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management and Marketing knowledge needed to compete and succeed in today’s business world. Emphasis is placed on strategic planning, developing strong leadership skills, ethics, and critical thinking. The Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs.
