Experience the Pulse and Flavor of Little Haiti during Art Basel

(Black PR Wire) MIAMI— In its third year, Art Beat Miami, presented by Northeast Second Avenue Partnership (NE2P), returns to Little Haiti with its highly anticipated satellite show featuring more than 30 emerging and renowned artists from Haiti and around the world.

Art Beat Miami takes place During Art Basel/ Miami Art Week with a conceptual Pop-up Art Fair at the Caribbean Marketplace. Nestled in the heart of Downtown Little Haiti, Art Beat Miami will feature emerging and renowned artists, painters, sculptors, art exhibits, murals, performers and musicians. The art fair brings together multidisciplinary artists working in collaboration to highlight the culturally rich and diverse creativity of local artists and the Caribbean Diaspora here and beyond during Art Basel/Miami Art Week. Exhibiting artists include Fabrice Cospolite, Rachel Salnave, Pascal Pierre-Louis and many more.

Art Beat Miami will run from Wednesday, November 30 through Sunday December 4, 2016 atThe Caribbean Marketplace in the Little Haiti Cultural Complex (212 NE 59th Terrace, Miami,Florida 33137). Art Beat Miami will showcase the best works across a variety of mediums including paintings, sculptures, drawings, fine art, street art installations and photographs, which have been curated by Pulitzer Prize winning Miami Herald photojournalist Carl Juste.

Art Beat Miami is a free event open to the public. The Art Beat Miami fair launches with a preview party, hosted by Haitian-American actor, Jimmy Jean-Louis, on Wednesday, November 30 from 7 pm to 10 pm at The Caribbean Marketplace. In addition to hosting the preview party, Jimmy Jean-Louis will release a limited edition 2017 Haiti Calendar featuring positive images of Haiti. Attendees will enjoy a musical performance by renowned Haitian songstress Rutshelle Guillaume. In addition, international celebrity luxury fashion designer Stevie Boi will perform a live design creation.

On Saturday, December 3 from 11 am to 2 pm, author and television personality Demetria Lucas O’Doyley will host a celebrity brunch featuring Chefs of the Caribbean: Chef Wilkinson Sejour of Chef Creole; Bravo Top Chef Ron Duprat; Chef Michelle of Tropical Feast; Chef Jerry Dominique owner and head chef of KC Healthy Cooking and Chef Hugh A. For the third year of Art Beat Miami, art lovers can walk, drive or take a trolley to explore the Little Haiti Mural Project curated by Yo Miami. The Little Haiti Mural Project is a large-scale public street art installation, spanning 30-buildings throughout Little Haiti, featuring the work of muralists of Case Maclaim, Axel Void, Yuhmi Collective, Claudio Picasso (CP1), Jorge Rodriguez, Hoxx, Ruben Ubiera and many more.
