(BPRW) Consortium for a Healthier Miami-Dade launches their #HealthyHappensHere Social Media Challenge

-Prize winner receives gift card from Shorty’s Bar-B-Q Restaurant-

(Black PR Wire) As part of an ongoing effort to promote healthy and active lifestyles, the Marketing and Membership Committee for the Consortium for a Healthier Miami-Dade has launched their #HealthyHappensHere social media challenge.

“This new and innovative contest serves to provide individuals with an opportunity to share their healthy activities throughout the communities in a fun and wholesome way, says Frantz Theodore, chair of the Marketing and Membership Committee. “We hope to use this as a tool to enhance the importance of establishing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle in your daily activity.”

 How to Participate:

Step 1: Snap a photo or film a short video clip of you (or your colleague) doing some activity to make healthy happen. (For example, this can include working out at the gym and/or park, home cooking a healthy meal and even walking up the stairwell at work – be unique and creative, and make sure your image has a title and is something that stands out.)

Step 2: Share your photo on Facebook using the hashtag #HealthyHappensHere and be sure tag the ‘Make Healthy Happen’ Facebook page so your submission can be included in the contest.

The entry period for the Healthy Happens Here Challenge is from May 1 – May 31, 2017. Entries will be judged by the members of the Marketing and Membership Committee. The winner(s) will be announced on Thursday, June 8, 2017. Winner(s) will receive a gift card to Shorty’s Bar-B-Q restaurant, the official sponsor of the #HealthyHappensHere Challenge.

Make Healthy Happen Miami is an initiative of the Consortium for a Healthier Miami-Dade and the Partnerships to Improve Community Health (PICH). The campaign includes the use of marketing and media strategies throughout the Miami-Dade local community. Make Healthy Happen Miami is a message from the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County, and is made possible with funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
