(Black PR Wire) The Black Archives History & Research Foundation of South Florida, Inc. turns 40 this years and is set to host a celebration during its Soul Basel event taking place December 6-9 in Miami, FL. Hosted by comedian Rickey Smiley, the four-day event is set to take place at the Lyric Theater Cultural Arts Complex, 819 NW Second Ave., Miami, Florida 33136. The celebration features the the sounds of the SOS Band, Dougie Fresh, the Sugar Hill Gang, the Black Archives Honors Award Ceremony, and the unveiling of a new exhibition "Funky Turns 40: Black Character Revolution" showcasing cartoons and animated images with African-American casts from the 70s.
Wednesday, December 6, 2017 includes entry into Black Archives Honors Award event with the S0S Band performing live in concert plus entry into the opening of the Funky Turns 40 exhibit, complimentary valet and red carpet service, open bar with pass hors d'oeuvres, eating stations, cigar lounge, and much, much, more all part of the ticket price.
