(Black PR Wire) WHAT: The Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) and Baltimore Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport (BWI) will host the 2025 AMAC Economic Opportunity & Policy Forum, uniting aviation industry thought leaders and professionals, decision-makers, business owners, policymakers and government officials to exchange best practices, explore innovations that fuel economic access for all, and showcase the powerful impact of small businesses in the airport industry. WHY: The forum offers a dynamic platform for advocating for small businesses, including minority and women-owned business participation in airport projects, with sessions on federal policy updates, infrastructure investment and workforce development. The forum also features AMAC’s signature Capitol Hill advocacy visits and concludes with Business Matchmaking to connect airports with small businesses for future collaborations.

WHO: Senator Angela Alsobrooks, U.S. Senate (D-MD), Congressman Rick Larsen, Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Ranking Member, U.S. House of Representatives (D-WA) and Congressman Greg Stanton, Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Member, U.S. House of Representatives (D-AZ), will give congressional remarks on Thursday, March 27. Other speakers include congressional representatives, airport executives and business leaders. Michael Steele, Former RNC Chairman and Lieutenant Governor of Maryland, current Political Analyst for MSNBC and Host of The Michael Steele Podcast, will provide the keynote address at noon on Thursday, March 27.
