(Black PR Wire) The Carrie Meek Foundation recently hosted its Friends of the Legacy reception to recognize supporters of the Foundation’s community initiatives. The gathering took place on December 14, 2017 at Stadium Hotel in Miami Gardens.
During the event, with their mother the Honorable Carrie P. Meek in attendance, Lucia Davis-Raiford and former Congressman Kendrick Meek shared their thoughts and thanked leaders in attendance for supporting the Foundation and its ongoing commitment to the community. In addition, Tony E. Crapp, Sr., Executive Director of the Carrie Meek Foundation gave special remarks and spoke about the Foundation’s mission and future community efforts.
The Carrie Meek Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that sponsors and promotes programs in Education, Housing, Health, and Economic Development and is committed to improving the quality of life for all residents of our community. The Foundation sustains U.S. Congresswoman Meek’s work through grantmaking, civic engagement, and community development.
