(Black PR Wire) The National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters and the Power of Urban Radio are gearing up for the 2020 By Black Virtual Conference in partnership with the U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. from October 14-16, 2020

Although this celebration marks the first of its kind to meet the times, our organizations are celebrating the observations of NABOB’s 44th Annual Fall Broadcast Management Conference and the 20th Annual Power of Urban Radio Forum. Prior to the pandemic, a main highlight of the conference experience included the highly anticipated NABOB/PUR Awards Luncheon honoring key accomplishments of esteemed advocates that champion our mission.

Recipients of these awards are selected based on their public service and their support of diversity and inclusion. Previous honorees include Attorney General Eric Holder, award winning journalist April Ryan, and civil rights activist and comedian Dick Gregory. Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to U.S. President Barack Obama and Assistant to the President for Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs was also an esteemed NABOB/PUR honoree.
