(Black PR Wire) PHILADELPHIA, PA — JustUs Ideas Week launches today in Philadelphia—a first-of-its-kind, four-day national conference convening over 3,000 attendees, 100+ speakers, and dozens of partner organizations. This historic gathering reimagines justice convenings by centering those who’ve lived the system.
This unprecedented event brings together justice-impacted leaders—artists, entrepreneurs, scholars, policymakers, and organizers—who are shaping the future of justice in real time. With diverse theories of change spanning abolition, reform, cultural strategy, and care work, JustUs Ideas Week creates space across sectors to explore the full spectrum of solutions. Together, they ask: What does a just future truly look like?
From keynotes and debates to healing spaces and community forums, the week blends storytelling, strategy, and action to drive lasting change.
“This is not a moment—it’s a movement,” says Marvin Bing, founder of JustUs Ideas Week. “We’re not just changing the conversation—we’re building the infrastructure to make justice-impacted voices a permanent force in criminal justice policymaking.”
Featured events include:
- Opening keynotes by DeAnna Hoskins and Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner
- A Democracy Forum featuring Senator Keturah Herron, Desmond Meade, and leading voting rights advocates
- A live debate between Bard Prison Initiative and Binghamton University
- The Black Men’s Safety & Justice Breakfast, hosted by Robert Rooks, with community leaders and artists including Beanie Sigel and Maino
- The Her Blueprint Women’s Town Hall, hosted by Angela Yee, featuring a keynote by Michelle West and a powerful lineup of women driving the work of justice and transformation
A full agenda and speaker lineup are available at https://www.justusideas.org/agenda
The City of Philadelphia’s Office of Reentry Partnerships will host on-site reentry services throughout the week, providing direct support and resources to attendees.
This Philadelphia convening launches a year-round national strategy, with future activations planned in Atlanta, Miami, and beyond—advancing justice through policy, culture, and community organizing.
