Attorney Zulu Ali has been recognized with six Communicator Awards through the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA)

(Black PR Wire) Attorney Zulu Ali has been recognized with six Communicator Awards through the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA).

The Communicator Awards is the leading international creative awards program honoring creative excellence for communication professionals for work that transcends craft, make a lasting impact, and is sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts.  The Communicator Awards is dedicated to recognizing excellence, effectiveness, and innovation across all areas of communication.  The winners of the 27th Annual Communicator Awards have officially been announced with over 5,000 entries received from across the US and around the world, Attorney Ali received six communicator awards for his podcast, video, and children’s animated film addressing injustice and police brutality.

Attorney Ali received two awards for distinction in educational and social issues in Film for writing, directing, and producing the children’s animated short film Izem Meets Officer Joe: Izem Learns How to Deal with Police Encounters https://vimeo.com/ondemand/izemmeetsofficerjoe; an award for distinction in political issues in video for producing The Cost of Being A Black Lawyer Fighting for Justice https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5C4lqkO4_Q&t=340s; and three awards for distinction for political, awareness, and feature in podcasts for hosting and  producing Justice Watch with Attorney Zulu Ali, a podcast and syndicated radio talk show https://www.justicewatchradio.com/.

Attorney Zulu Ali is a trial attorney, social commentator, social entrepreneur, and activist.  A former police officer and U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Attorney Ali earned a doctorate in law (J.D.) from Trinity International University and an undergraduate degree with a focus on African Studies from Regents College through a consortium with Tennessee State University. He is a doctoral scholar of social business at California Southern University.

Attorney Ali is the founder and principal attorney of the Law Offices of Zulu Ali & Associates, LLP in Riverside, California, which focuses on representing persons in state, federal, and at the International Criminal Court at The Hague, Netherlands (zulualilaw.com).  He is the founder and CEO of 10 Nubian Queens & 5 Kings Media (http://10nubianmedia.com), a mass media production company focusing on black family and social justice content in film, radio, theater, music, and book publishing.

Attorney Ali served as Director of the American Committee for United Nations Oversight, an advocacy group that lobbied the United Nations for police reform in 2015. He is the Director of the Stop and Frisk Academy, which mentors and trains at-risk youth to deal with police encounters; and Director of the Southern California Veterans Legal Clinic, a legal clinic offering no-cost legal services to military veterans; and a member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. (BZO Chapter).

In 2020, Attorney Ali was inducted into the prestigious Marquis Who’s Who in America for excellence in law and activism; and, in 2017, Attorney Ali was recognized as one of the most influential African American Leaders in Los Angeles by the National Action Network founded by Reverend Al Sharpton.  Attorney Ali has been recognized nationally as a Top Trial Lawyer and is a member of the National Black Radio Hall of Fame (Chicago chapter).

A dedicated husband and father, Ali has been married to his spouse, Charito, for over 35 years; and resides in Southern California with their four daughters and three grandchildren.
