The annual event in Atlanta returns on Saturday, May 17th. Atlanta-Based Black Female Therapists to Host Second Annual Reset Fest in Partnership with Paramount+ A Cultural Wellness Event Centering Black Mental Health During Mental Health Awareness Month
(Black PR Wire) Atlanta, GA — To celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month this May, Atlanta-based Black Female Therapists (BFT) is hosting its second annual Reset Fest on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Ambient Studios. This immersive, one-day experience blends the power of therapy, creative expression, and culture to create a space where healing feels like celebration, not obligation.
The Reset Fest was created by therapist and BFT founder Amber Dee, who launched the platform after facing the all-too-common challenge of finding a Black woman therapist for herself. Her personal search led to a national directory and digital wellness brand dedicated to increasing access to culturally competent care and reducing stigma around mental health in Black and Brown communities.
Since 2018, Black Female Therapists has evolved into a lifestyle and media platform that offers therapist access, affirmations, community-centered wellness events, and bold conversations around healing and all things mental health. Reset Fest is the live manifestation of that mission—designed to help people “check in” emotionally, mentally, and socially.
“We wanted to create something that makes mental health feel joyful, affirming, and rooted in culture,” said Amber Dee. “The Reset Fest is what that looks like in real life.”
This year’s festival is presented in partnership with Paramount+, celebrating the new season of The Chi, and Maybelline, who will contribute to mental health experience onsite.
Reset Fest 2025 Highlights Include:
- Therapy Speed Dating with licensed professionals
- The Feelings Booth for real-time venting and emotional check-ins
- Panel conversations on anxiety, stress, healing, boundaries, and culture
- Wellness pop-ups from Black-owned brands
- A wellness lounge with massages, nail art, and DIY mocktail stations
- Brand activations exploring the role of storytelling and beauty in emotional wellbeing
Tickets are available at Eventbrite. Complimentary passes are available for press.
“Even if you’re not ready for therapy, you deserve to start your mental health journey somewhere. The Reset Fest meets people right where they are,” Amber Dee added.
BFT fans can join the conversation on social media at @blackfemaletherapists by using the hashtag #BFTresetfest. This year’s Reset Fest is sponsored by Paramount+ The Chi.
