Seila Vaden-Williams, President of the National Association of Minority Automobile Dealers
Ms. Vaden-Williams can refer to a lifetime of high achievements. The Nashville, Tennessee native graduated Summa Cum Laude from Fisk University with a perfect 4.0 average, earning a B.A. in Economics. She later graduated from the top-notch Harvard Law School. Afterwards, she practiced corporate law in various firms before serving as CEO of Vaden, Williams & Associates, a full service events planning and management consulting firm.
As President of NAMAD, Williams' responsibilities include overseeing the association's day to day operations. One of her greatest accomplishments so far has been providing Diversity Awareness and Sensitivity Training to various employees. She serves on the Premier Automotive Group Diversity Advisory Council.
Numerous awards and recognition highlight Ms. Vaden-Williams career path. She was selected as one of the 100 Leading Women in the Automobile Industry for North America in 2000. She was named as an Automotive News All Star in 1999, which recognized her as one of the 20 most influential members in the automotive industry. More recently, she received the "Keepers of the Dream Award" from the National Action Network.
Williams is a member of the Bars of Illinois and the District of Columbia. She is involved in numerous organizations such as the American Bar Association, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the National Black Chamber of Commerce and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
Ms. Vaden-Williams was born on September, 19, 1959. She has been married to her husband James M. Williams Jr. for 14 years and has three children with him, James III, Vaden and Jessica.
