Venus Williams is at the top of her game, both on and off the court! Venus took the tennis world by storm beginning in the late 1990s. Along with her sister, Serena, she harnessed her powerful groundstrokes and thriving serves to rise in the rankings in both women’s singles and women’s doubles competitions. Coached by her father, Richard Williams, Venus has been credited with raising public awareness of tennis and with bringing the women’s tennis game to a whole new level of power and athleticism.

It goes without saying that Venus has had a whirlwind career. Currently ranked #8 in the world, she turned pro at the age of 14 and went on to beat the #50 player in the world in the first match. A two-time Olympic Gold medalist, Venus has won 36 WTA® tour titles throughout her career, including 6 Grand Slams. She is also a five-time Wimbledon® champion (’00,’01,’05,’07 & ’08) and two-time US Open™ winner (’00 & ’01).

Off the court, Venus has served up her finest attributes and put her best foot forward. No stranger to fashion, Venus, 27, studied fashion design at the Art Institute of Florida and previously designed clothing she has worn on-court, including a line for Wilson’s Leather. In 2007, Venus partnered with popular retailer Steve & Barry’s, to design and market a line of high-performance lifestye and active wear (including clothing and shoes). The new clothing line, entitled “EleVen,” is extremely affordable and priced at $19.98 and less. Venus is also the CEO of her own interior design firm, V Starr Interiors.
