Sarah Glover is the president of NABJ. She’s a former 3-term NABJ board member and 4-term chapter board member. Sarah served as president of PABJ during the 2011 NABJ Convention, contributing to NABJ’s record fundraising.

Sarah Glover is the former social media editor for NBC Owned Television Stations. Prior to joining NBC OTS, she worked at NBC10 Philadelphia (2012-2014), Philadelphia Daily News (2008-2012) and The Philadelphia Inquirer (1999-2008). For two decades, Sarah has been a freelance photographer for outlets including Jet magazine, The Washington Post, Liberty City Press and Black Enterprise. She founded the Diverse Social Media Editors & Digital Journalists Facebook Group, a platform for education, advocacy and training for journalists of color.

Sarah Glover gets the story. She chronicled the infamous Christina Regusters trial for NBC10 and led the Daily News video team on the Pulitzer Prize-winning “Tainted Justice” series, which resulted in a federal investigation of the Philadelphia Police Department. She’s been awarded fellowships from the Kiplinger Program in Public Affairs Journalism and Knight Digital Media Center. Sarah is an NABJ baby (1995) and has a passion for developing the next generation of journalists and broadening the skills of veteran journalists. She’s served on the Board of Governors of the Pen and Pencil Club, the oldest continuously operating U.S. press club.

The consummate professional, Sarah is a graduate of Syracuse University, S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications where she received her BA in Photojournalism/African American Studies. She studied at the SU London Photo Centre and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, receiving her  MA in Communication Studies. Her thesis was “A West African Journey: Semiotic Analysis, Visual Ethnography and Viewing Photojournalism.”
